How allocation works

Four steps from application to settled shares.

The whole process runs through your adviser and the portal, and typically completes within days of an offering closing.

Step 01

Apply

Choose an open offering and submit the amount you would like to invest from your UBS account.

Step 02

We review

Our team confirms your eligibility and holds your funds in escrow while the book builds.

Step 03

Allocation

When the offering closes we confirm your allocation — you are only charged for the shares you receive.

Step 04

Settle

On listing day the shares settle into your portfolio, ready to hold, sell or transfer.

Who it is for

Built for investors who want early access.

Existing UBS clients

Allocations settle straight into your UBS Investment Account — no third-party brokerage, and no additional paperwork.

Sophisticated investors

Offerings carry real risk and are made available to investors who understand pre-listing equity and can hold through volatility.

Long-term horizons

Pre-IPO shares suit investors comfortable committing capital for the medium to long term, rather than short-term trading.

We bring the research and custody discipline UBS applies for institutions to a wider set of investors.

Frequently asked

Questions, answered.

What is a pre-IPO offering?

It is the opportunity to apply for shares in a company at its offer price, before those shares begin trading on a public exchange. UBS facilitates access to a selected set of these offerings for eligible clients.

Who can apply?

Access is invitation-only and reserved for clients who hold a UBS Investment Account and meet the eligibility criteria for a given offering. New investors can request an account, which our team reviews individually.

How much do I need to invest?

Minimum subscription amounts vary by offering and are shown on each listing — the current featured offering starts at $2,500. You are only charged for the shares you are actually allocated.

What are the risks?

The value of investments can fall as well as rise, and newly listed shares can be highly volatile. You may get back less than you invested. Please read each prospectus and consider independent advice before applying.

Where are my shares held?

Allocated shares settle into your UBS Investment Account and are held with regulated custodians, kept segregated from the UBS balance sheet.
